Jack Fake

It has been about 30 months since I last played soccer. I tried to hide this niggling pain in my heart but to no avail. I wish to execute the famous Jack Fake once again.. Maybe just one last time, God..

Faye

Finally I got to see my all time idol concert, Faye Wong! The last time I saw her concert in sg was in 1998. I missed her last one in 2004, so I MUST go this time! Thank God a friend of mine managed to get a cheaper $380 ticket for $300.. Doesn't matter as I can hear her beautiful crystal clear voice!

Reached indoor stadium early around 7pm. Went to shop around at Kallang Leisure Park. Then around 745pm, I head towards the indoor stadium. Thought the concert will start late (diva always late.. Lol) however it started 810pm! I went hysterical when she sang the first song 约定.. Omg.. She is still so beautiful and her voice still so powerful!

Then she sang my favorite songs - 乘客，开到茶靡，冷战，etc. At least half of the fans there were from overseas like Taiwan, Hk and Malaysia.. Everyone went crazy as she danced slightly and moved to the music. (she seldom danced, or even moved, Lol) The highlight was when she sang the 2 songs - 天空，但愿人长久 in mid-air.. She was suspended by wires and even moved to the centre of the audience in mid-air.. Amazing! I was like waving frantically to catch her attention.. though she wun even know my existence.. Lol

But after she sang around 28-30 songs, I was super happy and overjoyed to hear my all time idol sing! The concert ended as usual with no encore.. As I looked back, I have been her loyal die hard fan since 1994. She is still so good, her voice super sweet n clear! May be the last time i catch her in sg, she may not come again.. Anyway, She is still the best, always the best! 我爱王菲，最爱王菲！

Right

My Indian pastor from my SOT batch came to visit me this week. Was really happy to see him. He shared with me how God is moving in his country and in the region. Was blessed and encouraged by his testimonies. Before he left, he told me to keep praying for a partner because Bible says its not good for man to be alone and God will prepare a helper and partner for me. He told me to pray for the right partner at the right timing. You can find the wrong gal at the right timing or found the right gal but at the wrong timing. For me, the right timing may be in rapture time..

Temptation

In the end times, I believe that there will be alot of temptations and distractions such as 迷魂大法, 勾魂阵.. Etc. that our body and soul are too engrossed and prevent us from seeking God. For example, our work, media addiction, gambling or drinking etc. I need the power of 乾坤大挪移 to deflect away this temptation and 移 my heart towards God.. But most importantly, we need to move the hearts of the lost and unsaved towards Christ during the end time harvest. Preparing and training myself for this powerful 乾坤大挪移.. Let's get ready in season and out of season!

Masters

Plan to take up 2 year part-time masters MSc in project management next Jan. Pray that God will help me to switch over to the developer or authority through this course! Jia you! I can do it!

End time

If the prophecy is true, the stock market will crash next year and the world will plunge into another financial crisis! Then Anti-Christ will appear and solve this financial crisis. And then many will look up to him & even worship Him. It will start the 7 year Great Tribulation - 3 and half years of peace and 3 and half years of tribulation for Christians.. Our faith and love for Christ will be tested. After these 7 years, it will fall nicely at 2018 which was prophesized to be the second coming of Christ! We need to hold fast to our faith and start winning the lost to God kingdom from now on..

Love conquers all

This is it! 4 more weeks! 21 oct 2011 will be the last episode of Taiwan drama 爱, after almost 3 years. This show really touches my heart and make me laugh & sob at the same time..

Just wanna share one of the things I learnt in this show..
Parental love is so precious to a child! Began to appreciate the daily stuff that my dad and my mum did. My dad works in a medical hall for over 40 years and did not make a single complaint, a simple love to see his children grow up strong and educated. My mum is a housewife who did all the household chores without complaint.. just to see us live comfortably. My dad n my mum had fulfilled their duties as patents. Time for me to repay them by supporting them in their old age. If there is only one calling in my life, it would be me taking good care of them until they breathed their last breath..

If I were to lose everything now or return to the Lord pre-maturely, I thanked God for giving me such great parents. I had lived this life without regret and thanked God for these 2 precious gifts in my life..

Choice

At the road junction again
One way leads to a narrow path into the wilderness of uncertainty and danger..
Another one leads to a wide road leading to a big luxury house with nice flowers at the side..
It is going to be a choice again..
And I saw Jesus again in the wilderness, signalling me to go in and join Him..

Excited

Despite the problems n limitations that I am facing, I am excited at what God is going to do in my life, as I laid my life as a living sacrifice at the altar, ready to be used by Him!

Change

One of my female colleague (my good friend) told me that I have changed. He is no longer the nice good mannered Jack she has known 5 years ago. I have become loud, bad mannered and eccentric. Her comments really upseted me alot, to be honest, though I believe she meant well for me and always tell me the truth..

Probably, over the years, due to constant fighting in my work nature, I have become the bad guy, no longer the mild Jack she has known.. I gave the impression that I am a playboy who flirts with gals (my constant ktv n clubbing), not serious and do not give gals a sense of security and stability..

But the truth is I am still the same old Jack who loves Jesus, who loves to help people and bring joy to people, loves my family, stay faithful to my future partner, who wants many lost souls to get saved and know about Jesus.. Maybe I have changed, for better or for worse.. One thing that will never change - My love and revelation of Jesus will not change..

Doesnt exist

Ideal weight

Got a shock of my life when I saw my weight on the weighing scale! 77kg! Ok I m officially fat.. Need to cut down on snacks and exercise regularly.. Target to lose 5kg in one month.. But ideal weight will be 70kg. Need to be more slim and tough..

NDP

Tomorrow is National Day! When I was in primary school, always excited to watch NDP at home.. But as I grow older, dont really watch NDP anymore.. However, as I ponder about our country birthday tomorrow, I begin to thank God for putting me in such a blessed country like Singapore. The country is blessed with good government, accessible transport, fantastic variety of food, relatively low crime rate, excellent education system and a great place to start a family. Though we may at times complain about the high cost of living and some government issues, but I have been very blessed to be in Singapore, where there are hardly any natural disasters and no religious disharmony. It is the grace of God that we Singaporeans in different races and cultures are able to live together and propser as a country! Majulah Singapura! Thank God for Singapore!

Spiritual warfare

God has given us 3 weapons to engage spiritual warfare with the devil.
1) The name of Jesus
2) The blood of Jesus
3) The word of God

"For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ." 2 Cor 10:4-5

JB trip

Been to HK, china and even Europe, but haven't been to Malaysia. Sua ku to be honest, but thank God, I was assigned to go for factory test in JB today. It was a crazy morning though, I took a cab at 8am but reached the client place at 940am. Record time due to a massive traffic jam at PIE.. But nonetheless, we took a car and drove to woodlands check point. The customs checked our passports as we drove to the factory. Took ard 45 min to reach the factorY though, but I can sight see during the car ride.

As we reached the factory, the supplier demonstrated how they did the pre-cast wall on site. Eye opener to see how the construction is done step by step. By 1pm, I was extremely hungry as the construction finally ended. The supplier then brought us to a nearby Chinese restaurant and had a sumptuous 8 course lunch! The food is really good and I ate to my hearts content! After that, we drove back to Singapore around 3pm and ended the short factory visit. Though it is quite short, but I enjoyed the trip and looked forward to tour JB again and the rest of malaysia. Malaysia boleh!

Liverpool training

Went out the whole day to catch the Liverpool soccer stars in Singapore. After service, I rushed to Marina Bay Sands to catch my favourite player Dirk Kuyt. Thank God, my ex-colleague was there to chop seat for me. Got the first row as I proudly displayed my Liverpool scarf in front of the crowd. The media began to take pictures of the fans as I posed (un-paiseh-ly) in front of the camera (attention seeker.. lol) Waited for an hour, but still no sight of the players. Leg cramp and restless-ness slipped in as I stood impatiently.

Finally, Dirk Kuyt and co appeared as security ushered them into the Addidas shop for autograph. Thankfully, Kuyt stopped to shake my hand and signed autograph for my friend jersey.. Woo.. Happy.. Watched many Liverpool matches on tv but never up close n personal with the stars.. After the autograph session, we head down to Bishan stadium to watch the whole Liverpool team train.

By 5pm, it was so humid and hot. Almost fainted but managed to grab a good seat to catch the stars. Eye opener to see how my Liverpool team train, and their skills drew many cheers from the crowd, though some players are lousy n crowd booed them.. Lol.. By 730pm, they ended their training and applauded the crowd as they left the stadium. I was really happy to see my beloved Liverpool team. As we left the stadium, they played the famous Liverpool song "You'll never walk alone".. Ok I shall plan to visit the home ground, Anfield, Liverpool in near future..

Same mistake

Two is better

Having this question all along in my mind. Why do we need to find a partner and settle down since Jesus is coming back very soon estimated 2018-2028? May as well wait for rapture and become brothers & sisters in heaven. Then God gave these 2 verses in the Bible - Two is better than one, and it is not good for man to be alone.. Hmm.. ok.. maybe there is more power serving God as a couple than alone! OIC..

Study

Planning to study masters of science in project or construction managment next year, but still thinking whether to study full-time or part-time, and have to think of finances too! Hmm.. Ask God for direction..

Schindler List

Schindler List.. what a great show! Certainly in my all-time favourite top 5 movies so far.. The show is about the cruel killing of the 6 million Jews during the Holocust in World War II. The Nazis were merciless in killing the Jews. Liam Neeson, who belongs to the Nazi party, happened to be a rich German businessman who helped provide jobs for the homeless Jews. While The Nazis were torturing and killing the Jews, he helped to bring 1,100 Jews to his factory to work, and though he is losing $$ to support the running of the factory, he did it to save the lives of the Jews, else they will be sent back as slaves and tortured to death. The most touching part was when the war was over, the Jews were no longer fugitives.. yet Neeson cried and apologised to the Jews for not saving more Jews, because he did not have enough $$ to bring them over.

It touched my heart and God spoke to me about our roles in winning the lost to Christ. The devil has been taking away lost souls to hell everyday like the Nazis in the show and yet, we could do nothing to stop the devil. It dawned upon me that we Christians need to be influential and very rich, like the rich German businessman, (not for our own, but for God glory) in order to win lost souls for Christ! Dear God, please help me to prosper so that I can do more for the extension of your kingdom. Amen.

Trip

Finally get to stay in my sister new house in Ireland..It was big.. with 4 rooms and a big living room. Behind the house are mountains and rivers.. Very serene and peaceful.. Retirement place.. Enjoy my stay there though it is very cold and can't really sleep well.

After 5 days, we took a plane to Amsterdam and stayed at an apartment. Over there, its eat, sleep and shop for the next 5 days... Bought some nice cool shirts and souvenirs for my friends.. Think I gained at least 3 kg over 10 days.. but I am especially happy that my sister found a great husband. Though he is abit soft spoken, he is very caring and responsible guy, and I trust that he will take good care of my sister in Ireland. Ok shall update more of my thoughts during the trip..

Rest

Ok I am leaving Spore in less than 12 hrs.. Finally can rest and pray and play.. Lol.. Eat sleep & shop. Pray for protection over my family and we have an enjoyable trip! Cya everyone in 11 days time!

Xmen

Watched Xmen First Class. Thought it was very good and the best of the Xmen movies so far.. Good story plot and acting.. Lesson learnt - Have a sense of identity in Christ Jesus! 4/5 rating. Thumbs up!

7 more days to Europe.. Can I just don't work already and go Europe for a month now? Feeling emo for the past few days.. What is happening to me? Just feel like letting go and sleep on the green pastures like in Psalms 23. Maybe I am tired.. Need a rest..

Europe

11 days to Europe! I can finally put aside my busy work schedule and rest for 11 days.. Look forward to the great food and sceneries in Europe. Going to visit my favorite football team Holland! Buy some nice clothes and take some photos.. Wish I can stay there for a month though.. Heez

Jesus centre

Believe there is a great significance why Jesus was invited to a wedding and perform his first miracle of turning water into wine. In every marriage or relationship between man and woman, Jesus must be in the centre of it. The wedding could not continue because there was a major problem of not having enough wine to serve the guests. Likewise, for a marriage, when the relationship hits a rock or faces a major crisis, Jesus is there to perform a miracle to salvage the situation and keep the marriage going! Woo..

Reunion

God has been good to me in my job. I have been to 3 consultant companies for the last 5 years. And all my ex-bosses are now reunited in my new current company! How cool is that! Believe that God is pouring His abundant grace and favor in my career.. Thank you Jesus!

Time

For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven. A time to cry and a time to laugh. A time to grieve and a time to dance. A time to tear and a time to mend. A time to be quiet and a time to speak. A time to love and a time to hate. A time for war and a time for peace.

Word of God

Judgement Day

Everyone has a name and may have significant meaning in it. My name 家梁 is given by my grandpa when he was still around. It means pillar of the house. Believe my grandpa wants me to be the pillar of strength in Soh family. After I became a Christian, this name became more significant! God wants me to be the pillar of strength in His house! I will be a source of strength and support for many people in the House of God!
PS - Recently a nice gal caught my eye.. Hope I can be her source of strength.. =D

Biutiful

Just watched a nice show called Biutiful. Story about a man trying to fight cancer while supporting his 2 children. It was quite a depressing show.. In the end, the man died, leaving behind his kids.. What impacted me the most was how those poor Africans and Chinese had to be human trafficked to Europe to earn a living. I can't help but teared when 25 Chinese were frozen to death in the show. This reflects the current state of our world.. Some countries are really poor n needy.. They don't have enough work generated back in their countries and they had to travel elsewhere to find a living.. Could sense the desperation n pain in them to support themselves n their families.. As I left the cinema, I was praying to God to use me one day to help them find a living and able to have 3 proper meals which a human should have..

Revelation 21

And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” God will take away every pain & sorrow on this earth!

Lamb

Happen to bump into a Chinese word 羊 which means lamb. I was born in the year of lamb. Jesus is the sacrificial lamb for our sins. God reminded me to be like Him - to place my life on the altar, as a holy sacrifice to the Lord, to serve His purpose. Feel privileged to be used by God. Amen.

Fairy Tale

Once upon a time, there lived a beautiful girl called Snow White. The village gave her this name, not because she is very pretty like the real Snow White, but because she wears white clothing almost everyday and her face is as white as snow (like ghost.. eeww..) On the other side of the world, there lived a rich prince from the palace. The prince used to be very yan dao, until he met an evil witch who expressed her love for him but got rejected. In a moment of fury, she turned his handsome face into a frog face so that no girls will like him again. Since then, people mocked at him and even gave him a nickname called the Frog Prince. He become very depressed and isolate himself from others..

One day, he went to the village to gai gai instead, because he wanted to avoid people in the city area. Then he saw Snow White.. Omg.. It was like a light from heaven shining upon her. At once, it was love at first sight and he knew that he knew that he knew that she was the one for him! But he also realised that he was ugly and dared not express his love for her.. So he walked away but hid at one corner to stalk her home..  As he was hiding in the bush, he remembered that a priest had told him that the only way to break the witch curse was to find a girl that he loved and kissed her. Only then, the curse would be broken and he returned to his handsome face. As he sighed at the impossible chance of kissing her, all of the sudden, a monster came and took Snow White away!

Annoyed, the frog prince quickly chased after the monster and demanded it to let go of her! The monster then mocked at him "Neh neh ni boo boo, you cannot catch me!" All of the sudden, the Spirit of the Lord came upon the prince, as he took few stones and threw at the monster's forehead. The monster fell immediately and died on the spot! (Abit unbelievable.. but this is a fairy tale). Touched by the frog prince's courage and love, she hugged and kissed him! Suddenly, a mighty gushing wind came and the frog prince was restored back to Prince Charming again.. The prince knelt down and gave thanks to the Lord. After that, Snow White and Prince Charming then lived happily ever after, till the end of time.. RAPTURE

New again

The most memorable words that Jesus said in the movie "Passion of Christ" was when He told His mom Mary, on his way to the Cross - "I will make all things new again!" These words really impacted me so much.. Yes.. He will come back again to make all things new and restored back to original purpose. Amen.

Look alike

Some say I look like doctor, architect, teacher or even policeman! Haha.. Still waiting for someone to say I look like some handsome celebrity.. Lol

Salvation

22 years have passed.. That year. Jesus came to my family, healed my sister and brought salvation to my family.. We did not deserve this but He chose to come and save our souls..if not, we will still live in darkness and worship idols.. Thank you Jesus for dying on the Cross and give us eternal life and hope!

Europe Trip

God reward

For the past few weeks, I have been hearing from my friends being promoted to manager or senior position stuff.. some are even younger than me.. Cant help but feel why am I still not in managerial position yet? Oh well.. ever since I made a commitment to God 11 years ago, I told myself to follow and serve Jesus all the days of my life. Back in NTU, when exams were so near, I still sacrificed my time to serve God in church. Even now, as my work is piling like Mount Everest, I will still set aside time to serve God after work no matter what. Our time on earth is so short compared to eternity, I shall train myself to be a spiritual warrior to serve God when He comes back again! God is a rewarder to those who diligently seeks Him! Woo...

Time and season

The right Spirit

Have the right Spirit. One spirit (alcohol) make u drunk and cause u to sin. The other Spirit oso make u drunk but cause u not to sin. Amen.

Sanctify

Soccer

Seriously speaking and not sound overly proud, I think I can be a very good soccer player, and I can score many goals playing as a winger or striker.. Used to play regularly when I was in JC. I can dribble past the whole defence n score goals until I injured my knee. Thought I could play again after my knee operation, but I injured again 2 years ago and never played since. Oh well at least I played until 30 years old and had so much fun.. But sometimes I do miss the days of me dribbling and heading in goals.. Maybe after life, when everything was made whole, I can play soccer in heaven with my dear friends again..

Grace

And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. Easter coming

As I was praying, I realised that I had the spirit of death when I was young. Used to think that I was going to die any time n probably go to hell. I was very timid and scared about everything. But really thank God that Jesus came into my life so real and saved me from fear of death! He gave me hope and joy to live and I can look forward to eternity with Jesus in heaven! Right now, my primary purpose is to share the gospel to the unbelievers and bring salvation & hope in their lives! Easter coming! Thank you Jesus for dying on the Cross for our sins! Time to reach out now.. Jia you!

Ministry

Had a great ministry leaders' meeting with Pastor Jeremy last Thursday. During the first hour, the ministry head shared about the vision of the ministry for 2011 - to strengthen our foundation while improving the quality of care for our patients. After that, Pastor Jeremy shared one of my favorite bible verse - Luke 4:18

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me,
Because He has anointed Me
To preach the gospel to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives
And recovery of sight to the blind,
To set at liberty those who are oppressed"

Wow.. this is the verse that God gave me to join this ministry! It really re-affirm the plan and destiny God has placed in my life! Pastor later shared about the 5 groups of people we are reaching out to - the poor, the broken-hearted, the captives, the blind and the oppressed. Yes, our ultimate aim is to preach the good news to them and bring salvation and healing in their lives! God is so real and moving in our midst! Later we entered into worship, God presence came and we wept. It re-ignites our hearts to serve Him with all that we have! Last but not least, I just want to highlight the true meaning of HIV - He Is Victorious! Amen!

Nice show

Just watched the show 拍卖.. It was so touching that I almost teared.. Thumbs up to 刘子绚 and 李名顺 for their excellent acting! Really enjoyed the show. Romantic love story!

Lunar

Been updating blog almost daily.. probably because I can use iphone to update.. Haha
Yesterday I had great fun with my colleagues at Lunar. Reached the place around 830pm.. the place is almost deserted. Nevertheless, we ordered 2 jugs of beer and played some bo liao games.. Some nice live performances + music.. Crowd begin to stream in after 10pm. We had a great laugh over some silly actions during the games.. After that, we ordered chicken wings n fries and even more alcohol.. Nice place to chill out and chit chat.. we danced to some techno music past midnight.. some of us abit high.. so we went back.. Though I feel its still early (the night is still young at 12 plus!!), we had great fun and look forward to the next outing.. Cheers!

Odd one out

Realise that I am the odd one out in my family tree..
1) my mum - 2 daughters + myself
2) 2nd uncle - 2 sons
3) 3rd uncle - 2 daughters
4) 4th aunt - 2 sons
What a great combination! 2 gals, 2 boys, 2 gals and 2 boys..I am the odd one out. :D

Revelation 21

Beautiful vision

Had a wonderful leaders meeting today. Presence of God was so strong.. I saw the beautiful vision again - me being a young boy running across an open field with Jesus. Everything was so peaceful and serene.. Jesus was holding my hand and we ran together across the open green field with all our might.. I was laughing at the top of my voice.. Everything seems to be restored back to original.. I need not worry about my disfunctional body anymore.. I dropped onto the green grass and rested on Jesus shoulders.. And He told me: "You are always my beloved child." I cried..

Christianity

What is Christianity to me? It is an eternal relationship with God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit. If not for God, my life would have been a mess.. Forever grateful that Jesus walked into my life, and calling me as His child. Christianity is about God everlasting love for everyone and despite our sins and weakness, God still wants us to reconcile with Him and spend eternity with Him. It is not a religion, nor having a god for protection, nor buying a ticket to heaven instead of hell. Its about changing our lives to the image of Jesus and loving one another. Christianity is that simple and pure.. Its about God unconditional love for us. Thank you Jesus.

Abundance

2 Cor 9:8 - And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work. Everyone loves prosperity and abundance in life. But behind this verse are 2 important attibutes which we need to have in order to have abundance in life. Lets go back 2 verses and read the whole context.

⁶ But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. ⁷So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. ⁸And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.

Verse 6 talks about our action in giving. Faith without works is dead,therefore we need to sow first in order to reap a harvest. You sow more, you reap more. Verse 7 then talks about our attitude in giving. We need to give cheerfully and not grudgingly, and give abundantly in faith. God sees our attitude in giving!

This sums up my triple A offering message on abundance for 2011. Action + Attitude = Abundance! Be Blessed!

Busy

Has not been updating my blog recently. Been busy with work, ministry, CNY etc.. Wish I can have 10 hour of work only, 4 hour of ministry/cg, 6 hour of personal time & 8 hour of sleep. Need 4 hours more seriously.. oh well.. sometimes work eats up the other portions.. have to sacrifice sleep n personal time.. Yawn.. But still believe 2011 will be a great year for my ministry, work and finances.. Hope never fails..

First post of the year!

Believe that 2011 will be a year of breakthrough & prosperity! "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers" 3 John 2. The key to prosperity is to let our soul prosper!
