2014 end

And 2014 comes to an end. Many things to thank God for;
1) Did my part time 6 month interior design course at NAFA. It was fun and made many new friends!
2) Played my first competitive football match, representing my company in the inter-consultant futsal tourney, since I retired in 2010 after injuring my knee.
3) Had my first professional singing lesson. Learnt many things like using the diagraphm to sing instead of my lungs and how to project my voice better.
4) Spend quality time with family. Sister came back from Ireland for holiday during mid year, coupled with my dad retirement at 65.
It has been a good 2014. Look forward to a better 2015 next year! Cheers!

Doraemon

Watched my childhood show Doraemon movie in cinema. Thought it was very nice & touching. Really cried when Doraemon left him for good and it disappeared in the morning. This show taught me to be independent in life & believe in youself! Last but not least Doraemon is still so adorable!

Jc friends

If I happen to return to the Lord right now, one of the wonderful things I want to thank God for are my 2 crazy years with my JC friends! Back then, we had so much fun together as a class! We disturbed girls in other classes, played soccer everyday, hang out almost every week & even studied for exams together!

Every moment with my class was like heaven, full of joy & carefree.. no hatred nor jealousy.. though we had some minor conflicts but we forgave n made up quickly. I still remembered the last lesson I had with my jc gang. I teared as I left the class. Thank you Lord for the precious friendships I have with them!

Next year will be our 20th anniversary for 96S13 class! They will always remain as sweet memory in my heart till eternity. I missed them dearly..

Singing lesson

Had my first professional singing lesson by a music teacher in my life! It was quite an experience. She taught me how to use the diaghram to breathe instead of the lungs when singing & how to project my voice better. I was encouraged when she told me that I can hold my breath better than most people and I had a good high-pitch voice & resonance! Ok I am going to practise more in KTV and prepare myself for next year Project Superstar! Lol

Facial

For the first time in my life, I did a facial treatment! Initially I was relunctant to spend the money for facial (only for gals) until the small petite lady came up to me n joked with me. I saw a resemblance of her again.

Without much thought, I decided to sign up for the 90min treatment and allow her to 'torture' my face. We spoke in canto and she started her crap jokes & I could not stop laughing. Even though she told me not to laugh & minimise facial expression during the face mask, I still laugh like mad. We chatted about movies, family, tvb dramas, silly lame jokes, shopping & makan places in SG & KL.. its like meeting an old friend whom I have known for years..

At the end of the 90 minute treatment, I was relunctant to leave and asked if I can contact her again. So she left her msian number so that we can wechat & keep in contact. Been some time that a gal can really make me laugh like mad. I bid goodbye to her and she gave me that unforgetable sweet smile. It will remain as a sweet memory in my life..

Samson

Recent

Recent Israel related conflicts, calamities & eloba virus kept me thinking. Is Jesus coming back real soon? Jesus second coming was prophesized in the Bible that one generation (70-80 years) after Israel was formed in 1948, which means 2018-2028. Before that, Anti Christ will come to persecute the Christians in the Great Tribulation. Will I deny Christ by then, or my faith be shaken? I hope not. My deepest desire in my heart will always be meeting in heaven, that my body was made new & serve God through eternity. Reminded myself that everything else in my life now is secondary compared to the glory I see during rapture. Stay strong & faithful always!

SOT Homecoming

I was really impacted by the SOT Homecoming last Friday.  I was reminded of my vision for missions (Luke 4:18)  back in SOT 2006. Cant help but teared towards the end. Deeply touched by God presence and re-committed myself to serve God whole-heartedly. God is always faithful!

Had a great week following some events
1) I passed my part time interior design nafa course
2) My boss gave me a good review of my work performance so far
3) Holland qualified for the semi final after beating mexico & costa rica
Just wanna give thanks to God and look forward to the new week!

Yes.. my beloved Holland team qualified for the World Cup last 16.. it's been a tough group with Spain, Chile & Australia but Holland pull it through and Mexico will be the next opponent! One at a time.. Hup Holland!

Just watched X-men - Days of future past and I must say it is really good! Love the special powers they have but most importantly the plot is good & meaningful. We must bring HOPE to the world.. totally enjoyed the show! Rating 9/10!

Vision

During worship today, I was reminded of the open field vision again. Those beautiful flowers on the field, my friends playing soccer on the field, the temptations of the world.. I was distracted from my mission to bring the captives out from the wilderness. But yet Jesus was waiting for me patiently at the entrance of the wilderness, waving at me and calling me to follow Him into the wilderness. My heart was burdened again.. the mission in Luke 4:18.. I need His grace & strength..

Genting trip

Finally get to go to Genting! Weather was great around 20 deg c like taipei.
Natural aircon everywhere. The bus trip was super long though. Almost fainted.
Most important I get to watch my idol Jeff Chang in concert!
He was good as usual, singing his usual hits n engaging the crowd.
Had a great time in Genting! Will definitely come back with my family & friends!

Fond memories

Went over to John house on friday night for Mj session. As I walked from the bustop to his house in Tampines, I saw the open field, where we used to play almost everyday after class during JC days. Cant help but feel nostalgic n emo when I think of it. As I sat down at the bench in the void deck, I saw the famous mama shop which we used to buy cold drinks after soccer and sat down & chit chat. Those were the fond memories! Everyday, we played soccer after school, disturbed girls in other class, hang out in orchard & staying overnight to chit chat. Those 2 crazy years in JC were one of the best parts of my life and will always remain close to my heart. I prayed that my JC friends will get to know Jesus one day & we can spend eternity together! Just keep praying.. :)

Fun CGM

Yesterday cell group message was really fun and enriching! For women, 3 qualities you look for in a man - Consistency, Decisiveness & Strength. For men, 3 qualities you look for in a woman - Independence, Support & Playfulness. But apart from my top priority quality - a God fearing woman, 3 other qualities I do look out for in a woman are understanding, filial & acceptance for who I am. though abit hiao & playful is good. Lol

Thank God!

Really wanna thank God for 2 things. Just got my company bonus 1.2 month! Thought it will delay again but thankfully it came before CNY & I hit my savings target which I prayed. Secondly wan to thank God that I am able to go back to my old company to work as a building consultant. Though the pay & bonus are not so fantastic, but I enjoyed the job satisfaction of completing a building (like iluma, nex, etc). God is always good! Keep asking & keep believing!

First post 2014

Time flies! One third of the month has already passed! Few things to thank God for:
1) My part time interior design course at NAFA has started! Very happy & excited to do what I like best - drawing & designing! Believe that I learnt many things in this 6 month course!
2) 2nd thing I love to do is definitely playing soccer! Had a great game with my crazy JC gang at Pasir Ris. I think we spent more time joking & laughing than playing. But I was glad to regain my form after a knee injury in 2010. Believe God has healed me as I was able to do my usual tricks, fakes and dribbles! A good exercise to keep fit once a month. God is good!
3) Had a few job interviews recently. Been thinking about my career. Should I go back to my previous company as a consultant in building services? I feel more job satisfaction than in my current job in oil n gas industry. Need to pray and ask God for direction. Got an inclination & prompting to be an interior designer.
Ok new year has started. Believe for great things from God in 2014! Jia you!
