Step by step

God is a good God.. He reveals His plan to us bit by bit. step by step.. Sometimes, we are too impatient and wants God to reveal everything to us.. But God has His wonderful timing.. Step by step, we can see God unfolding His master plan, and though sometimes we dont understand, but we can trust God that His master plan will be a beautiful jig saw puzzle coming into place..

Christ the Wisdom

1 Corinthians 1:18-25
For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written: "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate."
Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe. Jews demand miraculous signs and Greeks look for wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength.

Primary school friend

Recently, I met up with my good primary school friend, Suketu, at my friend's wedding. It has been more than a decade since we last met. Still remember he came all the way from India with his mother and sister and he went to the same class as me in Primary 4. I was the first one to introduce myself to him, after that, we just clicked like a good old friend.

As he stays in Tanjong Rhu, which is near my place, we often hung out together in the neighbourhood and played soccer. The highlight was when I went over his house with a group of friends to watch Malaysia Cup soccer. He prepared probably the best french fries I ever had in my life, all by himself. The black pepper and spices that he added was so good that I feel like flying after eating.. To cap a happy evening, Singapore won.. We jumped and hugged together to celebrate the win..

After primary 6, we went on separate ways and he was posted to Bedok View Sec. Though we stayed quite near, I did not meet him at all until recently.. He is now happily married and will move to his new house in Hougang in Oct. He is also doing well in his job, being the General Manager of the Singapore Hockey Federation. I was quite sad when I learnt that his mum passed away last year and he is now staying with his sister. He is a strong man though, he supports his family when studying and even went Australia to get his degree in economics. Really had a great time, catching up with him and drinking beer together.. Below is the photo I took with him when I got the priviledge to be the 1st person to sit in his new car.. Cheers!

Thorn in the flesh

Tmr start work again.. after a month of MC. Knee still feel abit sore and pain at times.. Cant walk smoothly though.. pray that God will heal me supernaturally tonight when I sleep, that I can walk smoothly to work.. Been reading Pastor Kong daily devotion "thorn in the flesh".

It really impacted me.. that God has a purpose and plan for everything.. Apostle Paul wanted God to take away the thorn in his flesh as it is affecting his ministry.. But God did not take it away, and instead told him that “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness”. God wants Paul to be totally dependent on Him and allow this thorn to persist in his life.

Sometimes, we think that God is so unfair to allow certain bad things to happen in our lives.. but indeed God has better purpose and plan for our lives.. His ways are higher than our ways, though we may suffer in this life time, God is moulding our character and preparing us for eternity! Praise the LORD forever..

Make everyday count!

Today, a japanese anime caught my attention. Initially, I did not take notice of this cartoon as I was running through the channels if there are any nice shows.. A sentence of a cartoon caught my attention. A female student told a male gangster to stop wasting time and start making everyday count! wah.. it is like God speaking to me through the cartoon. Since I injured my knee on 18th may (one month already), I have been staying home, resting and not doing anything fruitful.. Guilty of wasting precious time God has given to me.. One more week to go before I start work again, lets make our everyday count and meaningful!

Another week of MC

Today went doctor review.. doctor wanted to give me another month of mc.. i told him it may affect my work and told him to give me 1 week of mc and 3 weeks of light duty instead.. in addition, i start my sports physio on friday.. anyway i am doing my office work at home.. still stressed over my work.. sianz.. pray God will lift this burden away from me..

Headache

Big big headache for my work..

Really hate to do accounts..

Client wants to close final account for my project Iluma asap and some accounts of work done need to be verified by me. Faint..

When I saw the email sent by my colleague, the amount of work for me is unbelievable, can pile up as high as Mount Everest.

Use the bible verse Mat 21:21 - Speak to the mountain, be removed and be cast into the sea!

I pray for that mountain to be removed and be cast into the sea! Headache..
