If there's seasons

Yesterday, my colleagues and I went to catch a chinese musical play called . Initially, I wasnt really interested in the play (those boring monotonous musical which makes me yawn). But I saw one of the cast names, my face beamed with delight! Her name is 石欣卉, sing chew! I immediately bought the ticket from my colleague! To be honest, I have been a secret admirer of her since the project superstar 2005!



So after work, we rushed to the National Library and took some photos, before going in. After 15mins, my "idol" finally appeared! She sang with her sweet voice.. and moved gracefully with the music.. I was in seventh heaven.. Back to reality, the play was quite nice and entertaining.. 1st time watching a play. Really enjoyed the show. Suddenly, I thought of myself being a stage play actor instead.. since I love to act and sing.. I could be the next heart throb of Singapore!

Wake up Jack! Love to day-dream, even at night.. The show ended close to 11pm as we walked out to take photos of the celebrities. I quickly dashed out, hoping to take a photo of her as souvenir. Managed to take a photo of her despite many people blocking.. It was a happy day though, glad to have a glimpse of my favourite spore star! Heez..

Jumbo seafood

Today the contracts manager of the main contractor gave me, architect and QS a lunch treat at the Jumbo seasfood restaurant at Clarke Quay. It was really amazing.. He ordered large prawns, black pepper crabs, large fish, etc.. I ate until my stomach almost exploded! After the heavy lunch, we had fruits and sea coconut longan as light dessert. I felt like I was raptured into heaven.. the food was really good! Thank God for this wonderful treat!

God perfect LOVE

Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails! 1 Cor 13:4-8

I desire the gift of healing the most, because I believe God can use me to heal people with sickness and infirmities. John 4:48 - Then Jesus said to him, “Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will by no means believe.” As more and more new diseases & sickness evolve in this world, like the recent pig swine epidemic and the bird flu disease, we need the power of God to heal sick people, especially in the last days! People cannot see God moving unless they see signs and wonders!

Secondly, I need the spirit of discernment in my life, so that I can discern and minister to people more effectively! Equally important, I pray the gift of prophecy in my life! I need these gifts to help me reach out to more people. 1 Cor 14:1 - Follow the way of love and eagerly desire spiritual gifts, especially the gift of prophecy! But most importantly, LOVE is the basis for these gifts - Love conquers all things!

Impacting lives

Thank God for using me to impact people in my life. Recently, my ministry leader promoted me as visitation leader to lead a group of volunteers to take care of the patients in my ministry. I pray that through this ministry, I am able to raise up more leaders and most importantly, touch the lives of the patients and giving them a hope to live for!

2 days ago, I also got the chance to share what I have learnt in sot and church bible study to my fellow colleague and bro-in-christ. He told me he felt renewed in his thinking after an hour of sharing! Pray God will continue to use me to impact lives one by one.. and slowly lead them to Christ.. Amen.

Knowing

Watched the show "Knowing" by nicholas cage.. initially it was not bad.. talk about prophecy of end times.. can predict the dates of natural disasters correctly.. the suspense of the show kept me on my seat.. (i will doze off if movie is boring) until the end.. almost fainted.. although they prophesized the end times correctly like the heat wave destroying the earth.. one event makes me tear my hair off.. The angels of God chose two young boy and girl to re-start mankind again in another planet.. vomit blood.. super unbiblical.. its like noah ark again, or adam n eve all over.. But this show is a good tool to reach out.. u can explain about the bible to unbelievers and trigger their thinking about God and end times..

but i strongly discourage the movie if you are watching purely on leisure.. 2/5 rating.

Time to rest

After a busy week, thank God for rest tomorrow sat and sun.. Pray that God refresh my body, soul and spirit, so that I can serve Him with my best.. Time to sleep..Zzz

Bible study

Today I gave bible study to one of our cellgroup member. Was rather rusty as I havent given any BS for this year alone.. I prayed to God that He will give me utterance and anointing to share the Word of God effectively. Thank God for His presence, the bible study was good as I shared the Word, coupled with my personal experience with God. Yes.. I pray that God will continue to use me to share and teach the Word of God to others.. Amen.

Effective Witness for God

Pray that God will use the following testimonies in my life to be an effective witness of God!

1) Sister's healing - My sister suffered from leukemia when she was young and required regular chemotherapy to sustain her life. Thank God, she was healed miraculously w/o any bone marrow transplant and is now living normally without any side effects!

2) Overcome depression - I used to be a close-up & timid guy who suffers from low self-esteem and extreme depression. Thank God for helping me overcome depression. I am more confident, open up and joyful person right now!

3) Army promotion - When I was downgraded to become an admin clerk in army, I slipped into depression and even got into trouble. Thank God, He transformed me and promoted me to be the Chief Clerk in G4 division before my ORD, 1st time a NSF being a Chief Clerk in division level.

4) Honours degree - I was on 4 month MC after a horrible knee injury towards my final year in NTU. Thank God, I managed to clear all my subjects in time and even got my honours degree!

Believe God has many more great breakthroughs for me in years to come and to share His wonderful grace and mercy upon my life! Lets be an effective witness for God!

First time driving

Today I decided to take leave after a busy Easter week. I am also having my first driving lesson in my life today! I was abit apprehensive in the morning, that I may kan cheong and cause high blood pressure to the driving instructor. But after praying through, God gave me confidence and peace of mind to go through the lesson. I always had the impression that driving instructors are monsters and always scold and torture the students. But to my present surprise, the instructor turns out to be very nice and helpful guy (probably I prayed for it.. lol) and I had a great time learning.

Thank God for His presence, I did not have a major "catastrophe" like banging into car, sudden brake or swerving. In fact, I drove for more than 30min without problem and managed to do some turns. After the lesson, the instructor commented that I am a safe driver except for some zigzag driving. Well done for 1st try.. I feel so encouraged after my first driving lesson, that I have decided to join F1 racing season next year with lewis, masa and alonso.. (abit over-dreaming) lol.. Anyway, pray that I will get my driving licence this year!

DISC *yawn*

Actually, dunno what is DISC personality test until Justin recommend me to take the test few years ago.. Result: I am a high S and low C. Hmm.. i was thinking "does this really help to know my personality better & in my work too?" Worse, I heard if a dating couple is both high D, they are likely to clash in character and its better not to be together.. *A loud yawn* To me, I think I will like to have my own personality test and the result is J! To be like Jesus and be more Christ-like in character! lol..

Handsome suit

Today I watched a great show called Handsome Suit. The story is about a 33 year old guy who desires to find a partner whom he can spend his life with. However, due to his ugly looks, he was rejected repeatedly by more than 100 women, and he feels dejected and lost hope totally. One day, he was offered a handsome suit, which he wore and became very handsome overnight! Ladies flocked to him everyday and he became a famous model after that. To cut the long story short, in the end, he decided to give up his handsome look & all the fame and riches, and went back to his old life. He even found true love, who did not mind his ugly look, and spend his life happily together!

What impacts me the most is really the meaning of true love. Most of the time, we tend to look for a good-looking partner, whom we concentrate mainly on the outer beauty and ignore the inner beauty and the character of the person. The main actress asked 2 interesting questions - "Why do you like me? What do you see in me?" The main actor basically liked her because of her beauty and not about her personality or character. But in the end, the main actor realised that it is not the outer beauty that we are looking for in our future partner, but the compatibility and understanding of one's character that makes a couple click.. This movie is truly a great show! Highly recommended. 4/5 rating!

Intercession ministry

I realise as I grow older in my walk with Christ, the more I need to pray everyday and depend on God. Therefore, I decide to set up my own intercession ministry. Prayer is really important in our Christian walk. Prayer is a language for all christians.. What language do Singaporeans speak? Singlish. What language do Christians speak? Speak in tongues! (Prayer) Decided to spend at least 30min a day to pray and intercede for others.. Alot of things to pray.. Pray for church, cellgroup, new friends, family, work, country.. the list goes on.. So if anyone is looking for a ministry to join, why not join this intercession ministry? The effective, fervent PRAYER of a righteous avails much. Amen.

4 days of holiday

happy.. cos i have 4 days of holiday (Monday take leave).. can rest.. play soccer.. walk around spore.. watch movie.. learn driving.. meet up frenz.. most impt go easter services.. woo..

NTU project

Woo.. tmr i am going to NTU for meeting to discuss some projects in NTU.. very happy.. cos it was my alma-mater (dunno if the correct spelling..lol) and it is where i specialise in air-conditioning studies, which leads me to my current job. Concidentally, my company is the term consultant for NTU, so all the M&E related projects go to my company. Doing some chiller replacement and changing air-cooled system in auditorium. Yes.. yes.. i am going back to NTU, where i spent 4 years there, mugging to get my honours degree.. making alot friends.. creating havoc in people hostels.. woohoo.. simply overjoyed..

Fear of height

Previously I thought I am not afraid of height, because I do take roller coaster rides and dare to look out of windows in high rise buildings. But until I really went high up in the skyride in Sentosa today, did I realise I am afraid of heights.. my goodness.. It was really traumatic, I held on the bar tightly and dare not open my eyes. Michelle was teasing me to pose pictures and look at the beautiful scenery around. I froze and just wished that the ride quickly ends.. Thank God, the traumatic experience lasted only 5-10 minutes.. I heaved a big sigh of relief when I came out of the skyride. Can the fear of height be removed by laying of hands & deliverance? wah please God, help me overcome this fear..

As I worship God with this song, suddenly I felt the presence of God brush through me.. it was such a strong presence.. God spoke to me: "Have you realised the FULL potential that I have given to you?" I felt a sense of conviction in my spirit. Yes God, please help me to fully utilise my potential from now on - to reach out to thousands and spreading the good news to everyone. Thank you Lord for your grace and mercy upon me all this while.

Confidence

"Therefore do not cast away your confidence, for it will bring great rewards" Hebrews 10:35

Confidence will bring out the glory of God in our lives and be the salt & light in our world!
